Privacy Policy
Mott Design is a one-person studio. This policy explains plainly what information is collected when you visit this site or get in touch, and how it's handled.
Who this covers
This policy applies to the website at mott.design.
What information is collected
The only personal information collected through this site is what you voluntarily provide when you fill out the contact form:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The message you write
No tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or behavioral analytics tools are installed on this site. There is no account system and no newsletter sign-up.
How it's used
Information submitted through the contact form is used solely to respond to your inquiry. It is not added to any mailing list, shared with third parties for marketing purposes, or used for any purpose other than replying to you directly.
Third-party services
This site relies on a small number of third-party services to function. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Formspree — processes contact form submissions and forwards them to my inbox. Formspree temporarily stores submitted data on their servers. See Formspree's privacy policy.
- GitHub Pages — hosts this website. GitHub may collect standard server logs (IP address, request time, browser user agent) as part of normal hosting operations. See GitHub's privacy statement.
- Google Fonts — loads the typefaces used on this site (Space Grotesk and Inter). When your browser requests a font, Google's servers log your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
- CookieYes — manages cookie consent on this site. CookieYes stores your consent preferences in a cookie so they can be remembered across visits. See CookieYes's privacy policy.
Beyond what these hosting and infrastructure services may log in the ordinary course of operations, no other data about site visitors is collected or stored.
Cookies
This site uses CookieYes to manage cookie consent. When you visit, a banner asks for your preferences; those choices are stored in a small cookie so they are remembered on future visits. You can update your preferences at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in the footer.
Beyond consent management, this site does not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or any tracking purpose. Third-party services listed above (particularly GitHub Pages) may set cookies as part of their standard hosting operations.
Data retention
Contact form submissions delivered to my inbox are retained as long as they are relevant to an ongoing or potential project.
No sale of data
Your personal information is never sold, rented, or traded to any third party, for any reason.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and no information is knowingly collected from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a revised effective date. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
